Last Sunday, a group of Brompton enthusiasts embarked on a scenic ride through Putrajaya, exploring its beautiful landscapes and iconic landmarks. The journey began along the serene Tasik Putrajaya, where riders enjoyed the calming lake views and the majestic sight of the Putra Mosque and Seri Wawasan Bridge. The smooth, car-free paths made for a relaxing start, setting the tone for the adventure ahead.

From the lake, the group pedaled toward Wetland Park Putrajaya, a tranquil oasis teeming with wildlife. The lush greenery and peaceful atmosphere provided a refreshing break before the route took an adventurous turn onto gravel paths, testing the Brompton’s versatility. The compact bikes handled the off-road stretch effortlessly, adding an exciting element to the ride. The journey continued through the Botanical Park Putrajaya, where vibrant flowers and shaded trails offered a picturesque setting for a short rest.

The highlight of the ride was cruising along the Persiaran Perdana, a 5km stretch with wide, smooth roads perfect for cycling. Riders picked up speed, enjoying the open route while taking in Putrajaya’s grand architecture. A brief stop at the Seri Perdana Roundabout allowed everyone to regroup and snap some photos before heading to the final destination.

The ride concluded at Mayang, Putrajaya, a charming lakeside food court where the group refueled with kueh and teh tarik. The cool breeze and scenic lake view made for a perfect ending to an unforgettable day. Laughter and stories were shared as riders relaxed, already looking forward to the next adventure.
