The Brompton x and wander G Line is a special-edition folding bike created in collaboration with Japanese outdoor brand and wander. Built around the G Line’s larger wheels and full-size riding feel, this exclusive edition brings together outdoor-inspired design, practical details and Brompton’s unmistakable ability to fold.
Finished in textured metallic Dark Grey with vibrant yellow anodised details, the bike has a distinctive character that feels equally at home in the city or beyond it.
Available in Small and Medium, the Brompton x and wander G Line 8-speed is priced at S$5,880 in Singapore.
Designed with and wander
and wander was founded by Keita Ikeuchi and Mihoko Mori, designers who previously worked with Issey Miyake. The brand is known for combining technical outdoor functionality with contemporary fashion, creating clothing and equipment designed for people who move naturally between urban environments and the outdoors.
That same philosophy is reflected in this Brompton collaboration.
Rather than simply adding a new colour, the partnership introduces a collection of bespoke details, accessories and finishes designed specifically around the G Line.
Where Brompton meets and wander
The collaboration between Brompton and and wander brings together two different approaches to movement, connected by a shared belief in going beyond the ordinary.
and wander was founded by designers Keita Ikeuchi and Mihoko Mori, who brought their experience from Issey Miyake into the world of outdoor design. From the beginning, the brand has explored the space between city life and nature, creating products that combine technical outdoor functionality with a contemporary aesthetic.
Brompton shares a similar philosophy in a different way. Its folding design has always been about making movement more flexible: a Brompton can be ridden through the city, folded for public transport, carried into new places and unfolded again when the journey continues.
For and wander co-founder Keita Ikeuchi, this was one of the qualities that made Brompton particularly interesting. Rather than focusing only on ideas such as going “faster” or “further”, Brompton offers another possibility: taking the bicycle with you and discovering places that might otherwise be difficult to reach by bike.
The Brompton x and wander collaboration builds on this shared idea of movement without boundaries. The result is not simply a Brompton finished in an and wander colourway, but a complete collection that brings together the two brands' approach to function, mobility and exploration.
For the G Line edition, that philosophy is expressed through a textured metallic finish, reflective details, bespoke components and an exclusive backpack, creating a bicycle designed to move naturally between the city and the outdoors.
A colour inspired by the landscape
The first thing that stands out is the bike's textured metallic Dark Grey paint finish.
The understated grey gives the G Line a rugged, outdoor character, while carefully selected yellow details create a strong contrast throughout the bike. The colour-matched Roller Rack, ergonomic grips, hinge clamp plates and other anodised components bring the design together without making it feel overly loud.
A subtle Brompton x and wander logo is etched into the bike, adding another layer of detail for those who look closer.
Details made for the collaboration
The special-edition treatment continues across the bike.
A bespoke printed Superlight saddle is paired with matching ergonomic grips and custom-coloured self-aligning hinge clamps. These details give the G Line a distinctive identity while retaining the practical functionality expected from a Brompton.
The bike also comes with a custom-coloured forged Front Carrier Block, making it ready to carry the exclusive collaboration backpack straight from the front of the bike.
Made to be seen
Reflective details are integrated throughout the collaboration.
Reflective frame decals and a saddle charm add visibility-focused touches while contributing to the outdoor-inspired character of the bike.
It is a subtle design approach: the reflective elements become more noticeable when light catches them, adding another dimension to the bike without dominating its appearance.
The G Line: built to go further
At the heart of the collaboration is the Brompton G Line.
With its larger 20-inch wheels and redesigned geometry, the G Line offers a ride experience closer to a full-size bicycle while retaining the practicality of Brompton's folding design.
The steel frame is hand-built in London, while the aluminium fork and larger wheels provide a confident platform for longer rides. Schwalbe Big Apple tyres add to the G Line's comfortable, versatile character.
When the ride is over, the bike can still be folded in seconds, making it easier to store, carry and take with you.
8-speed simplicity
The Brompton x and wander G Line uses an 8-speed Shimano Alfine hub gear system.
Combined with a 54T chainset and Microshift shifter, the setup keeps shifting straightforward while providing a useful range for everyday riding and longer adventures.
The enclosed hub gear also keeps the drivetrain relatively simple and low-maintenance, fitting naturally with the G Line's practical, adventure-ready character.
Confident stopping power
The G Line is equipped with Tektro hydraulic disc brakes with 140mm rotors.
Hydraulic braking gives the bike confident stopping performance and suits the larger-wheel G Line platform, particularly when riding on longer routes or changing terrain.
More than a backpack
One of the most distinctive parts of this collaboration is the Brompton x and wander Backpack, which is included with the bike.
Designed to work both on and off the bicycle, the backpack attaches to the front of the G Line in seconds using the front carrier system. Once you reach your destination, it can simply come off the bike and continue as a regular backpack.
The bag is constructed from ECOPAK™, a durable and water-resistant three-layer laminate made from 100% recycled polyester.
Together with the special-edition Roller Rack, it gives the G Line a practical carrying solution that fits naturally into both cycling and everyday life.
