The Morning: A Warm Welcome
The day began with a sense of anticipation as we prepared to open our doors for the very first time. The store, located in the vibrant neighborhood of Bukit Jalil, Heart of National Sports Complex centre was dressed to impress, with sleek displays of Brompton bikes, accessories, and a special corner dedicated to our Harimau Bike Edition— a limited-edition design inspired by Malaysia’s rich culture and heritage.
As the clock struck 11 AM, we welcomed our first guests with open arms. The energy was electric, with cycling enthusiasts, urban explorers, and curious newcomers all eager to experience the Brompton lifestyle.
The Highlight: Launch of the Harimau Bike Edition
One of the most exciting moments of the day was the official launch of our Harimau Bike Edition. Inspired by the majestic Malayan tiger, this special edition bike features a bold, tiger-stripe design and custom details that pay homage to Malaysia’s national symbol.
The Harimau Bike Edition isn’t just a bike—it’s a statement. It represents strength, resilience, and a deep connection to Malaysian culture. Seeing the reactions of our guests as they admired the design was a proud moment for our team. Many of our fellow Malaysian and enthusiasts who pre-order the bike from the first day we post sneak peaks of the harimau bike couldn’t resist taking it for a ride for the first time, and the bike’s smooth handling and striking appearance left everyone in awe.
The Buzz: Release of the Sold-Out Bunga Raya T-Shirt
Another highlight of the day was the release of our Bunga Raya T-Shirt, a limited-edition piece inspired by Malaysia’s national flower. The design, which features a vibrant hibiscus motif, quickly became a fan favorite. Within hours, the T-shirts were completely sold out, and we couldn’t have been more thrilled with the response.
The Bunga Raya T-Shirt is more than just apparel, it’s a celebration of Malaysian pride and a symbol of our commitment to blending local culture with Brompton’s iconic style. Seeing so many of you wearing the T-shirts throughout the day was a reminder of how much this community means to us.
The Journey: Cycling from Johor Bahru to Bukit Jalil
One of the most inspiring moments of the day was the arrival of Muslim Mohamad, a passionate ultra-cyclist who embarked on an incredible journey to celebrate our opening. Starting from 0 km marks in Johor Bahru, he cycled over 330 kilometers to reach our store in Bukit Jalil.
His journey wasn’t just about the distance, it was about the stories, the challenges, and the people he met along the way. When he finally arrived at Brompton Malaysia, the crowd erupted in applause. His determination and love for cycling perfectly embodied the spirit of Brompton, and we were honored to welcome him as a special guest.
During a heartfelt sharing session, Fellow Malaysian talked about his experience, the beauty of Malaysia’s landscapes, and how cycling has transformed his life. His story inspired everyone in the room and reminded us why we do what we do.

Throughout the day, the store was alive with activities that brought our community together:
Lion Dance Performance
No grand opening in Malaysia would be complete without a lion dance performance, and ours was nothing short of spectacular. The rhythmic drum beats and vibrant movements of the lions brought an extra layer of excitement and cultural richness to the day. The performance symbolized good luck, prosperity, and the beginning of a new chapter for Brompton Malaysia.
As the lions danced their way through the store, guests couldn’t help but smile and cheer. It was a moment that perfectly blended tradition with modernity, reflecting our commitment to honoring local culture while embracing innovation.
Service Workshop
Visitors loved personalizing their Bromptons from a variety of model's, colors and accessories to create a bike that reflected their personality, riding style and comforts. Our team hosted sessions on bike checking, bike maintenance, urban cycling tips, and the art of the Brompton fold.
Sharing session
We shared our vision for a greener future and how Brompton bikes are designed to last, reducing waste and promoting sustainable mobility. Some of our local communities also share their hopes on how we can serve them better and how we can work together in promoting healthier lifestyles for the community. There's so much open sharing and exchanging ideas and we're excited to pull that off in the future. We can assure our Brompton fans and communities , there's more to come.
